Mistress Eleise Interview

Sinical Magazine: How long have you been a professional dominant?

Mistress Eleise: I took my first professional session at the age of 17. I had a young gay friend who was very involved in the BDSM scene and he began referring clients to me. My first client had a very specific fetish. He arrived with a gift, beautifully wrapped. Inside was an exquisite pair of 6 inch stiletto heels in red leather. I spent the next two hours trampling on his hands, alternated with periods of ignoring him. The ability of the mind to transform something so potent as the perception of pain into sexual pleasure, that left a powerful impression on me. I continued to see him for a number of years.

Sinical Magazine: How did you become a dominant?

Mistress Eleise: I wouldn't really say I became a dominant. I was born with distinctly dominant leanings which I have been fortunate enough to be able to apply to my career. I am even more fortunate that I have found a constructive outlet for my sadistic tendencies.

Sinical Magazine: What are the types of services you offer?

Mistress Eleise: I am a dominant, rather than a service top, so I do not offer services - I am served. That's an important distinction I should make here. As far as what might happen during a scene, I have a restless sort of mind and bore of things easily, so my interests are constantly changing and evolving. At present I enjoy immersive role-play, traditional CP, bondage, medical play, TV transformation, and torture. Whatever the activity, I want that intensity to be there, for both me and my client to forget everything outside the room.*

Sinical Magazine: What is your specialty?

Mistress Eleise: I specialise in mind games and extreme play. I like to push ideas and people past their imagined boundaries. I am a perfectionist with an over-active imagination and there is always something that can be pushed further, that can be improved. I apply this principle to myself as well as my client.

Sinical Magazine: What can a client expect from you in his first visit?

Mistress Eleise: First and foremost, he can expect to be treated with the same discretion and respect I demand from him. I consider discretion and respect to be the core tenets of a good Domina. Before the session begins he will interact with a woman who values good manners and creativity. What he faces during the session may be very different and depends upon what we have negotiated before the scene. I believe archetypes are extremely powerful and enjoy playing different parts. Why should we confine ourselves to one life?

Sinical Magazine: What are your limits and have you ended a session abruptly?

Mistress Eleise: I do not entertain requests for Roman showers, hardsports, or intimate body worship. Good manners are a must. Any application - whether by phone or email - which is less than perfectly courteous is met with rejection. My definition of discourteous includes form letters and emails written in txtspk. If someone can't be bothered to write me a personal and intelligible letter, I won't waste time writing him one. I vet my clients carefully and am pleased to say that I have never had to cut a session short due to incompatibility; in fact, I consider my clientèle to be amongst the most fascinating, fun, and civilised gentlemen nature has to offer.

Sinical Magazine: Is S&M a form of psychotherapy?

Mistress Eleise: The great thing about S&M is that it can be just about anything you want it to be, psychotherapy included, and the psychological aspect is perhaps my most enduring interest in BDSM. I would like to stress that I only play with individuals I deem to have the physical and mental resilience needed to withstand such an experience. For people undergoing a period of instability I would recommend a more conventional therapy.

Sinical Magazine: What advice would you have for someone who is trying to become a professional dominatrix?

Mistress Eleise: I would say please be prepared. Whether you apprentice to an established Domina, train in one of the better houses, practise on a partner, study manuals, literature, film, or any combination thereof - please know what you are doing first. Other people are going to be putting their physical and mental well-being in your hands. A latex catsuit does not a Domina make.

Sinical Magazine: Is there a certain time of year when business slows down?

Mistress Eleise: No! I am very fortunate in that I have always had more work offered than any one person could ever want.

Sinical Magazine: What is your favorite fetish outfit to wear?

Mistress Eleise: Any garment worn knowingly can have fetishistic appeal and I am fascinated by the power in this. I take delight in transfiguring myself and others through costume, so offering a single favourite is difficult. The simplest answer is that I have a love of beautiful, well-made things. Silk stockings, hand-crafted kimono, dresses of my own design... I adore anything bespoke, made only for me and to my specifications from beginning to end. From the traditional canon of fetish wear my greatest love is of custom leather. I don't think I will ever tire of the scent of new gloves or become immune to the thrill of slipping an exquisitely stockinged foot into boots or shoes made just for me. I am currently having crotch-length leather lace-up boots made. The first outfit I plan to wear them with is stockings, a black silk bra and panties, shoulder-length leather gloves, and simple pearl earrings. As much as I am a devotee of good things, I detest anything ostentatious. Gaudy jewellery or items emblazoned with designer names like some sort of placard are not to my taste.

Sinical Magazine: Our staff's favorite alcohol is Absinthe. What do you like to drink?

Mistress Eleise: I'm not much of a drinker but was intrigued by the romantic reputation of la fée verte and its association with the so many of my favourite artists and writers of the Belle Époque. This inspired a phase of studying absinthe and it's purported exotic effects: pre-ban, Suisse La Bleue, you name it, I've tried it, but I never encountered those tulips Wilde spoke of so I had to give up disappointed. Sadly, the only remarkable effect absinthe bestowed upon on me was a pounding headache. Although still largely uninterested in alcohol, I won't say no to a good Champagne. Krug makes a few nice bottles.

Sinical Magazine: Can you tell us about your web site?

Mistress Eleise: Femme Fatale Films is a website which presents both fantasy and reality films centred around female dominance. It is also a vehicle to promote female dominance as a way of life and, in a more general way, personal and artistic freedom. For those inclined to the written word I post diary entries offering an intimate view into the inner workings of a woman who lives her life in accordance with her fantasies. My site is graced by many of the world's most talented Dominas: Mistress Vixen, Lady Natalie Black, Anna Regent, Miss Hunter, Mistress Abaddon, Severity Myers, Jezabel, Lady Seductress, Miss Velour... the list goes on and is ever-expanding. I wish to show female dominance in all its guises, so will continue to add the work of other skilled female dominants all the time. From gently sensual to the most extreme that I am allowed to distribute, I want to capture it all. It will be my little corner of paradise on Earth.
