One of the first movies I can remember seeing in the theater as a child was James Cameron's Aliens. Aliens was Cameron's 1986 science-fiction/action masterpiece. The film was a sequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 film Alien and followed Sigourney Weaver's character Ellen Ripley (accompanied by Colonial Marines) as she returned to the planet where she first encountered the Alien.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is an upcoming FPS video game by Gearbox Software and Sega. The game has been in development since 2006 and has been delayed numerous times. The cover art for the game was finally revealed in February. The game takes place after the events of Aliens and Alien 3. The storyline follows Corporal Winters, who arrives at LV-46 with a battalion force of four hundred marines. Lance Henriksen has been confirmed as reprising his role as the android Bishop. Gearbox has also been contact with Ridley Scott. There might be a possible tie in with Aliens: Colonial Marines and Prometheus.
